Step Through for an Improved Weight Shift
Utilizing a Swing Fan training aid begin this drill with your
feel together, now swing to the top of your backswing.
From here, start the downswing with a small step towards
the target and then turn which will propel your arms and the fan
through. This small
step will enhance your feel of the weight shift on the downswing
giving you a better sense of how the energy and momentum is
stored and then transferred through the swing.
Through the added resistance of these blades on the swing
fan, you will not be able to produce your max speed with just
your arms as you will need to improve the sequencing of your
body for maximum speed.
