Impact Bag Drill
The purpose of this drill is to create lag which will promote
the correct feeling of how the body should support the hands and
arms through impact.
Position your impact bag in the middle of the stance.
Making small swings away from the bag into your takeaway
position, then SLOWLY returning the club striking the bag and
holding, referencing the proper club shaft, club head and
clubface alignments.
You need to be striking down to the impact bag, versus
swinging upward to make contact.
Holding at this point you need to continue to straighten
your trail arm and support this with the bodies pivoting motion
all the way to the low point.
You will establish and feel resistance as the club head
lags and continues to move down to the low point.
